Kitchen Fitting Services
A kitchen that’s fitted properly, from start to finish
For most households, the kitchen is the busiest room of the home. It’s where meals are cooked, conversations happen, and family life takes place. At AJS Plastering we’ve been fitting kitchens in Oldham, Manchester and the surrounding areas for more than 30 years.
We take pride in doing the job properly — preparing the space, fitting everything securely, and finishing it off so you can enjoy your new kitchen without hassle.
What we cover when fitting your kitchen
Every kitchen is different, but typically our work includes:
- Removing the old kitchen and getting the room ready.
- Installing cabinets, making sure everything is level and fixed securely.
- Cutting and fitting worktops : laminate, solid wood, or stone.
- Fitting sinks, taps, and appliances in the right place.
- Adding splashbacks or tiling, sealed neatly so they last.
- Preparing walls (plasterboarding, skimming) so they’re smooth and ready to paint.
- Laying flooring such as laminate, LVT or tiles.
- Coordinating electrics and plumbing with trusted qualified trades when needed.
How we approach the job
We always start with a visit to check the space and talk through your ideas. From there you’ll get a clear quote and a realistic timeline. On the job itself we protect floors and walkways, remove the old units, and sort out any wall or floor issues before fitting. Cabinets go in first, then worktops, sinks, taps and appliances. Once that’s done we finish with tiling, flooring, trims and decorating. Before we leave, we check everything with you, tidy up, and make sure you’re happy.
Extra touches if you want them
Many customers ask for:
- Lighting under units or plinths.
- Pull-out shelves or deep drawers for easier storage.
- Decorative finishes on walls for a bit of style.
- Softer-close doors and drawers for everyday use.
- Energy-efficient appliances and fittings.
We’ll always give you an honest opinion on what’s worth adding and what might not be necessary.

How long does it take?
A simple kitchen replacement where the layout stays the same can usually be done in around 3–5 days. Bigger jobs with layout changes, flooring and tiling can take a week or more. We’ll always give you a proper timescale before we begin.
Looking after your new kitchen
Once fitted, we’ll explain how to care for your new worktops, re-seal silicone where needed, and register any appliance warranties. That way everything lasts and performs as it should.
